What does it mean to attend university?
How does it differ from going to school?
What are the advantages of getting a university degree?
How do I study at university?
What is student life like outside of classes?

Don’t worry! Student ambassadors like us can support you – we also asked ourselves the same questions before we started at university. Now we can answer them from our own perspective.

What is the Alte Mensa?
Where is the Philosophicum?
Who makes the best coffee and what are the best places for studying?

Johannes Gutenberg University is a comprehensive university with almost all of its faculties located on a single campus. JGU also offers a great variety of activities, especially in music and athletics. In addition, there are many student groups with a focus on cultural and sociopolitical topics.

In addition to the institutions, you can find student residences, childcare and athletics facilities, cultural institutions, shops, restaurants, and cafés on campus. And for those looking for some peace and quiet: The Botanic Garden is a haven for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of university life.

The campus rally and campus tour are designed for anyone interested in studying at JGU who would like to get an initial impression of campus life.
