In addition to the courses offered by the subjects and faculties, you can also take advantage of the courses offered by the Gutenberg International School (GIS). These courses are specially designed for exchange students. They are offered either in English or intermediate-level German. The course catalog includes courses for learning German as well as courses in the areas of social sciences, history, and society. Have a look at the current courses on offer. We hope you find something that interests you!
Each semester, the GIS compiles an overview of all courses available to exchange students at JGU that are taught in English or another language other than German.
Please note: This list is updated on an ongoing basis. Once the general course catalog is published on JOGU-StINe, the list will link to the corresponding course descriptions.
Registration for the GIS courses takes place directly in the individual departments and subjects that offer them.
You will typically register using the general registration form for exchange students, but in some cases you will have to speak to instructors or the student advising office directly. You can find further information about course registration in the relevant course descriptions.
Whenever you see a red dot before a course title in the course catalog, that means that the course in question is held online. Always be sure to read the course description for additional information.
Do you study on the Germersheim campus or are you interested in online courses offered there? Please contact the International Office in Germersheim directly. Our colleagues there will process your registration.
